Huff named Second Team All-HCAC

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University defender Brittany Huff (Union/Northmont) was named Second Team All-Heartland Conference for her work on the pitch in 2017. Securing honorable mention acclaim was junior Skylar Liming (St Marys/Memorial). They were both recognized when the HCAC announced its top players this season as voted on by all of the head coaches.

Brittany Huff knocked home three goals from the back, rifling in free kicks from midfield and beyond, finishing the season as the number two scorer for the Beavers! The four-time all Heartland Conference soccer honoree added two assists for eight points. Her 15 career goals are tied for 6th all-time while her six assists are tied for 9th on the career list. Huff's 36 points are also 9th all-time. She has been a four-year starter for both softball and soccer, playing in 59 matches on the pitch.

Junior Skylar Liming paced the Bluffton with 10 points on a team-best five goals this season. She put 26 attempts on frame, including her two game winners. Liming has started all 43 contests during her three years as a Beaver. The talented forward has seven career goals and four assists for 18 total points.

In conjunction with the All-HCAC selections, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference also announced the All-HCAC Sportsmanship Team for the fall of 2017. Senior Katelyn gardella (Troy/Miami East) was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team from Bluffton. This award has been developed as part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative. Members of the All-HCAC Sportsmanship team are selected by the coaches and their teammates as individuals who demonstrate the ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field/court of competition.
