(PAULDING) - Bluffton’s softball team went on a terrific winning streak this season but the campaign came to an end at Paulding Friday evening.  The host Panthers were able to claw back from a 4-0 deficit to win the game 5-4.

Katie Prater blasted a three run home run in the third inning as Bluffton put up four runs in the frame.  Paulding got three back in the bottom half of the third and pushed two more across in the bottom of the fourth to claim the lead.  Both teams had eight hits and committed two errors.

Sophomore Libby Schaadt pitched through an ankle injury incurred in the prior tournament game.  Schaadt struck out 11 and walked no batters on the night, allowing four earned runs.

Prater finished the game 2/3 including the home run and three RBI.  Averey Rumer was 2/4 with a run scored.

Bluffton saw its ten game winning streak halted and ended the year at 17-4.  Aimee Ritter was the lone senior on this year’s squad.
