Schaadt, Lady Pirates whip Arcadia

By Cort Reynolds
Visiting Bluffton scored early and often to post a 9-2 softball non-league win over Arcadia Tuesday evening.

Bluffton improved to 8-1 overall with the win, while the Redskins fell to 3-5 with the defeat.

Bluffton raced to a 7-0 lead after two innings and was never threatened. Arcadia scored its only two runs in the bottom of the fourth on a pair of solo home runs by Breana Reinhart and Lanei Rodriguez.

In addition to her fine pitching, Schaadt led the 13-hit Pirate offense with a home run, four runs batted in and a single.

Pirates Sophie Bricker and Madison Fleece each contributed two hits. Averey Rumer also collected two base hits and scored twice.

Brinkley Garmatter knocked out two hits and scored a pair of runs. Alivia Koenig singled and scored twice.
