The following traffic impacts will occur on Interstate 75 in Findlay's Lima Avenue and U.S. 68/state Route 15 beginning late Friday evening, June 7 into Saturday morning, June 8:
The northbound ramps at U.S. 68/state Route 15 at Lima Avenue on the east side of U.S. 68/state Route 15, near Cooper Tire, will reopen following construction related to a roundabout.
Once the ramps are open, traffic on the west side of U.S. 68/state Route 15 will use part of the new roundabout to access U.S. 68/state Route 15 and Lima Avenue. Traffic on the east side of U.S. 68/state Route 15 will use part of the roundabout to access Lima Avenue, U.S. 68/state Route 15 and I-75 northbound. Also, a new ramp from Lima Avenue to northbound I-75 will be opened.
Traffic on U.S. 68/state Route 15 through the Lima Avenue interchange area will be traveling in a new pattern and will be placed on temporary pavement.
Once traffic is removed from U.S. 68/state Route 15, demolition of the existing bridge over Lima Avenue will begin.
Truck traffic will no longer be permitted to utilize sections of Main Street and Lake Cascades Parkway that had been part of the detour. Signs which indicate trucks are prohibited on these sections will be uncovered and visible.
Lima Avenue traffic will still not be able to travel east or west beneath U.S. 68/state Route 15.No access from U.S. 68 southbound to Lima Avenue eastbound, or from U.S. 68 northbound to Lima Avenue westbound is possible.
To access Lima Avenue on the west side of U.S. 68/state Route 15, traffic is detoured to I-75 northbound to the state Route 12 interchange to I-75 southbound back to Lima Avenue.
To access Lima Avenue on the east side of U.S. 68/state Route 15, traffic is detoured onto U.S. 68/state Route 15 southbound to the U.S. 68/state Route 15 interchange south of Findlay, to U.S. 68/state Route 15 northbound back to Lima Avenue.
Lima Avenue closed Oct. 15, 2018 and will remain closed until the end of the 2019 construction season during construction of a roundabout.
Mainline Intetstate 75
On Saturday, June 8, the following traffic pattern shifts will occur on Interstate 75:
I-75 northbound, from just north of the U.S. 68/state Route 15 interchange to state Route 12, will be shifted to the right (east).
The current auxiliary lane on I-75 northbound at the merge with U.S. 68/state Route 15 will remain available. The lane allows traffic wishing to exit onto state Route 12 to remain in the auxiliary lane without merging onto I-75.
From state Route 12 to the north, I-75 northbound will be traveling in three lanes and will be in its final traffic pattern.
