Invertebrate [inˈvərdəbrət, inˈvərdəbrāt] - an animal lacking a backbone, such as an arthropod, mollusk, annelid, coelenterate, etc. The invertebrates constitute an artificial division of the animal kingdom, comprising 95 percent of animal species and about 30 different phyla.

Now that you know something about the subject - register with the Bluffton Public Library for a program where you will learn much more about the subject.

Johnny Appleseed Metro Parks District naturalist Jessie Elsass will share details about invertebrates to area youth at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Buckeye park pavilion.

Registration is required in this program sponsored by the Bluffton Public Library. Contact the library at 419-358-5016, or go on the library website to register.
