Several "driving under suspension" arrests in October

Police also responded to a runaway school student

Here is the October Bluffton police department docket.

October 2
Officers responded to the middle school in reference to a student who had ran away from school. After alerting the public about the incident, officers located the student in the 500 block of South Main Street.

October 4
Officer received a theft complaint from a North Lawn Avenue resident.

October 7
Officers received a telecommunication harassment report from a State Route 103 business.

October 9
Officers received a criminal damage report from a South Jackson Street resident.

October 11
Officers responded to the Bluffton Pool in reference to an attempted breaking and entering. Nothing was taken from inside, but damage was done to the outside of the pool house.

October 12
Officers arrested a Lima resident for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and Interstate 75. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.

October 14
Officers responded to the area of Sara Lane and Albert Street in reference to a dispute amongst neighbors.

October 16
Officers responded with Bluffton EMS to an East College Avenue residence in reference to a deceased person. Officers attempted performing CPR, however the subject ultimately was pronounced dead.

October 18
Officers received a criminal damaging report from an East College Avenue resident.

October 19
Officers arrested a Lima resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of County Line Road near Cherry Street. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

During the above mentioned traffic stop, officers also recovered illegal narcotics after a probable cause search of the vehicle. The passenger, another Lima resident, was issued a citation for possession of a controlled substance into Lima Municipal Court.

October 20
Officers arrested a Findlay resident for OVI following a traffic stop in the area of Bentley Road and Interstate 75 for a stop sign violation. The defendant was ultimately released to the custody of a sober family member. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

October 21
Officers arrested the same Findlay resident from the night before for OVI and driving under suspension (since the first OVI the defendant was placed under an immediate suspension) after the defendant returned to the vehicle and attempted to drive it back to Findlay. The defendant was also issued a citation for possession of a controlled substance. All charges from the second incident are pending in Findlay Municipal Court.

Officers responded to the middle school in reference to a student being in possession of a controlled substance.

October 23
Officers responded to the middle school in reference to threats that were made by a student towards other students.

Officers arrested a Columbus Grove resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of Grove Street at Jackson Street. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

October 24
Officers arrested a Toledo resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on Interstate 75 for an equipment violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.

Officers arrested a Kenton resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 500 block of State Route 103. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.

October 26
Officers responded to an East College Avenue residence in reference to a telecommunications harassment complaint.

October 28
Officers responded to a construction site on Parkview Drive in reference to a theft of tools from a storage container.

October 29
Officers arrested a Dayton resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of Elm Street and Brookwood Drive. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

Officers responded to a West Elm Street business in reference to a theft from a vehicle.

Officers responded to a residence on Jared Circle in reference to juveniles running through backyards.
