Bluffton’s water: from the Blanchard River to your tap and back again
Join Transition Bluffton and representatives from Ottawa and Bluffton for an informational meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 21, on Bluffton’s water: where it comes from, how it’s treated and how it gets to Bluffton and our taps.
Douglas Schroeder, Water Director, Village of Ottawa and Russell Bates, Waste Water Director, Village of Ottawa, will describe the treatment process in Ottawa before the water is piped to Bluffton.
Jesse Blackburn, Village of Bluffton administrator, will describe what happens to the water once it reaches Bluffton. The program is in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall. There will be time for questions and answers.
