Board set to sign 1-year agreements with BEA and OAPSE

School's appropriations will reach $20.3 million

Bluffton school board will act on several items pertaining to the 2020-21 school year at tonight’s board meeting.

These include:
•  two memorandum agreements involving the Bluffton Education Association and the Ohio Association Public School Employees covering July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021.
• approval of its 2020-21 appropriations, which total $20.3 million.
• remote learning plan
• administrative assistant wage schedule at a 1.75 percent raise effective July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. All other benefits will follow the OAPSE agreement.

In addition, the board will act on a long list of supplement contracts including:
• fall coaches
• classified substitutes
• substitute teachers

Several board policies will have updates including new policies, which are:
• use of face coverings
• family and medical leave act expansion
• emergency paid sick leave
