Volleyball: Pirates sweep Arlington

Stackhouse topped the Pirate girls with 21 kills and three blocks

BLUFFTON - The homestanding Bluffton volleyball team easily swept non-league foe Arlington Tuesday night. 

Bluffton improved to 4-2 with the convincing 25-19, 25-6, 25-17 win. Arlington (0-6) stayed winless with the defeat.

Junior Kylie Stackhouse topped the Pirate girls with 21 kills and three blocks. Taylor Schwab knocked down nine kills, and also recorded 11 digs and two aces. 

Setter Skyler Scoles dished up 29 assists. Kylie Monday hustled her way to 17 digs, while Sophie Bricker mustered up 10 digs.

The Pirate junior varsity also won in straight sets. 

Bluffton plays at local non-league rival Cory-Rawson Thursday, September 10. The Pirate girls are 2-1 on the road and 2-1 at home thus far this season.
