Panthers stop Pirates in straight sets

Bluffton falls to 9-4 overall and 2-2 in NWC action

BLUFFTON - The host Bluffton volleyball team lost in straight sets to Paulding in a Northwest Conference match Thursday night. 

Bluffton fell to 9-4 overall and 2-2 in the NWC with the 25-15, 25-9, 25-18 defeat.         

Paulding improved to 9-2 overall and 2-1 in NWC play with the sweep win.     

Kylie Stackhouse led the Pirate girls with 10 kills and one block. Taylor Schwab contributed six kills and 13 digs. 

Haelynn Bischoff added three kills.     

Setter Skyler Scoles doled out 18 assists. Kylie Monday came up with 14 digs, while Cora Bischoff dealt a pair of aces.

The Pirate junior varsity also lost, 2-0.    

Bluffton is now 5-2 at home this season.

Bluffton (4-2 road) visits tough Lincolnview (10-1, 2-0 NWC) Tuesday, September 29.
