Melina Meza, a Bluffton High School senior, is the October Icon's artist of the month.
She had taken several art classes including Art 1, Design 1, and currently Photography, Mural and Art Seminar.
Here's what she says about art:
"I enjoy art because I have the liberties and freedoms to express my ideas and thoughts. There are so many ways to put together an art piece, and with different mediums, that it never becomes boring.
"With art I continuously find new interests and hobbies and am always learning something. Being a creative person is who I am and something I will continue to be for the rest of my life."
Vickie Garmon is the Bluffton High School art teacher.
