Worship

This year's event spread over five weeks with the theme "Who is my neighbor?"

Drive-thrus aren’t just for fast food.

The pandemic-adapted Bluffton Community Vacation Bible School will lead children on a discovery of Who Is My Neighbor? Learning to Love Like Jesus over five weeks this summer.

Children will complete each session in their own homes.

Spreading out VBS over the course of five weeks instead of five consecutive days is intended to give children and families something to look forward to throughout our pandemic summer days.

English Lutheran Church, 111 Grove St., Bluffton, will begin in-person worship on Sunday, June 7, according to Kevin Mohr, pastor.

The worship service, with COVID-19 social distancing seating and other precautions in place, will take place simultaneously live in the sanctuary (face-masks required for ages 12 and up), and live-streamed on Facebook in the fellowship hall (face masks encouraged but optional), beginning at 9 a.m.

Holy Communion, with hygiene precautions, will be offered for those comfortable with partaking of the sacrament at this time.

For a moment, 101.3 FM became Bluffton’s most listened to radio station Friday morning.

That frequency, broadcasting for a range of about a half mile from The Centre, aired a prayer and meditation service focusing on Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio and specifically Mennonite Memorial Home.

An estimated audience easily reaching 150 people or more participated as over 75 vehicles were parked in The Centre’s north lot during the 11 a.m. community service.
