You'd think it is Valentine's season just by glancing at the window of Et Cetera Shop on South Main Street.

We'll remember the winter of 2016-17 as extra mild - and we'll take that.

Concerning snow photos, until last night, this winter's become a dud. By mid-February in winter's past snow photos are a dime a dozen.

Not so this year.

With that in mind, we offer viewers a long winter's night of snow photos - finally.

Win a dozen roses for Valentine's Day from the Icon

The Bluffton Icon has a Valentine's Day give-away and you might win.

We're giving away one dozen roses from Town and Country Flowers, 124 N. Main St. Bluffton.

It's really simple to enter:

• Entry deadline 5:55 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12.

PTO bakery Bingo Saturday evening

A fun mid-winter family event

The biggest Bluffton PTO event of the year, Bakery Bingo is Saturday in the Middle School Cafetorium. 

Doors will open at 5 p.m. and Bingo will begin at p.m.  

PTO members say, "Please bring your family for this fun night of entertainment.  Bingo cards are 12 for $1.  Refreshments include pizza, popcorn, pretzels, nachos and cheese, chips and water.  If you would like to help volunteer for this event please contact Crystal Camper."

Most Icon viewers aren’t aware that former Bluffton council member Morris Groman once saved the Village of Bluffton $4,000 in federal fines, plus lots and lots of headaches and embarrassments.

Most people think of Morris Groman as a polite, quiet guy, which of course, he was.

He used this persona to get things accomplished and it worked. Here’s an example.

Icon add advertiser Facebook links to Advertiser Index

Links to over 70 area businesses - all Icon advertisers - are included

The Bluffton Icon recently added a new feature for advertisers and viewers.

The Icon Advertiser Index now includes links to advertiser Facebooks. When the Index was first created website links and phone numbers were included. With the popularity of Facebook pages, those are now added.

The Bluffton Icon has over 70 advertisers listed in its Index. The Index is one of the most viewed features on the website, simply because it is the only comprehensive listing of Bluffton area businesses with phone numbers, website links and now Facebook links.
