Winners from this year's Blaze of Lights parade announced

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce announces the following float winners from this year's Blaze of Lights parade, according to Paula Scott, CEO.

The winners are:

  1. Tri-County Family Assembly of God
  2. Citizens National Bank
  3. Bluffton Dari Freeze

The Chamber prize goes to St. Mary's Christian Preschool.

The mayor's prize goes to Bluffton Child Development Center's float.

Village accepting bids on two farm cash lease properties

Jesse Blackburn, village administrator, announced that the village is accepting sealed bids on two of its properties. Each bid is a three-year farm cash lease.

Details follow: 

Village council are receiving sealed bids for a 3-year farm cash lease for agricultural use at town hall, 154 N. Main St., P.O. Box 63, until 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27. The bids are for the following properties:

Next school aluminum can drop off is Thursday

The next aluminum can drop off will be Thursday, Dec. 12 from 7:30-8 a.m. at the Jackson Street entrance of Bluffton High School. 

Future drop off dates are Jan. 9, March 12, and day in May, which has yet to be decided.
