Autumn Gesler, Icon's BHS artist of the month

Autumn Gesler, a Bluffton High School senior, is the Icon's student artist of the month.

Autumn has taken Art 1, Design 1 and Art Seminar. Following graduation she would like to explore movie and video games animation/modeling.

Concerning art, she says, "Like most things, art is a escape. It's nice to just draw or paint things that do not actually exist because life is not always glorious. So art to me makes life a bit better. I hope the art I make, now or in the future, somehow makes someone else's life a bit better as well."

Survey shows zero deficiencies

6th consecutive "zero deficiency" survey for Maple Crest

Maple Crest Senior Living Village has received its 6th consecutive “zero deficiency” survey from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).

Maple Crest provides both independent and assisted living and is surveyed approximately every 12 months.  In Ohio, the typical “Assisted Living” home is licensed as a Residential Care Facility and many people use the terms interchangeably.  ODH licenses residential care facilities and conducts on-site inspections for compliance with state rules and regulations.
