Scott Alan Benroth, 54, died May 21, 2020 at his residence. Scott was born July 12, 1965, in Bluffton to Richard and Jane (Alspach) Benroth. On July 13, 1990, he married Rita Jane Swartz Benroth who survives in Bluffton.
Scott graduated from Bluffton High School and worked as a technician at Proctor & Gamble in Lima. He enjoyed golfing, camping, grilling out, the outdoors, Ohio State football and basketball, NASCAR and spending time with his family.
As Bluffton reopens, Lu Lu’s Diner, 114 E. College Ave., is back in the breakfast and lunch business. The diner reopened on May 21, and is operating with a full staff and its regular hours.
Those hours are Mondays through Saturdays 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Employees are wearing masks. The restaurant is being continually sanitized and tables are spread apart for the safety of customers.
Lu Lu’s is owned and operated by Justin Musil, who opened the popular eating spot in the summer of 2015.

Craig Stone is cutting hair again. Lots of it. He reopened Stoney's Barbershop, in the lower level of 125 N. Main St., yesterday. Donning an Ohio State University mask, he says that there's lot of hair to cut in Bluffton. As of Friday morning, his earliest appointment – not counting the waiting list for cancellations – is Friday, June 12.
