Bluffton Lions Foundation Corvette raffle making the rounds this summer
The Bluffton Lions Club Foundation is making a name for Bluffton this summer as it attends all types of events, sellling raffle tickets for its Corvette car raffle, according to Dick Ramseyer.
On Aug. 11, members of the club attended the Findlay Flag City BalloonFest with two booths. In this photo are Bluffton Lions Mark Alliman, Jim Bemitler, Gary Bishop and Marilyn Bishop.
This year's car is a 1991 bright red Corvette with only 54,000 miles. It has a 350 cube-inch V8 engine.
The raffle drawing is at noon, Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Bluffton fall festival. Tickets are $2 for one or three for $5. Call 419-369-4216 for tickets. Ramseyer said that 100 percent of the revenue goes to charities.
In addition to the car show and balloons at the Findlay event, there was a 5K race. Several area runners participated. The video in the story shows the start of the Findlay 5K.
