Barbara Jean Slapin, 87, died Nov. 9, 2020, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. Barbara was born July 12, 1933, in Bluffton to the late Arthur and Cleota "Cody" (Lanning) Lewis. She was married to Billy Slapin who preceded her in death.
Barbara graduated from Bluffton High School. She retired from Jana's Coatcheckers in New York City.
Survivors include two children, Jana Slapin of Bluffton, Deron (Roberlyna) Slapin of Paterson, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Blaze and Dexel Slapin; sister, Mary Coletta of Bluffton and a brother, Ray Lewis of Chicago, Illinois.

They have been in the Super Bowl 3 of the last 4 years and have won as 4th graders and as 6th graders. They have talent across the board and many have started all 4 years of their Bucs career.

There are currently over 2,500 hospitalizations statewide, up from 2,000 hospitalizations on Thursday. A total of 154 hospitalizations were reported in the last 24 hours alone.

Main St., is accepting non-expired non-perishable items for the Bluffton Community Assistance food pantry now through Thursday, Nov. 19. Donations may be made during business hours Mondays through Fridays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
