Looking...looking...he's going long...Braeden Ackerman, 8, is picking up football tips from a BFR Sports and Fitness class this winter. The class is still open for other potential all-staters.

As many of our readers know, Gordon Diller has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma and is currently hospitalized at the James Cancer Center, Columbus. Gordon and Jodi are grateful for the many prayers, caring thoughts and gestures extended to them by the community.

There will be lane restrictions in effect on Interstate 75 near Bluffton on Tuesday, Jan. 8, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Travel will be restricted to one land just north of State Route 103 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for guard rail repairs.

The Cotton Patch Gospel, a one-man musical by Phillip Kaufmann, will be presented at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 20, at First Mennonite Church. The Martin Luther King Jr. Day event is sponsored by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association.
