Holiday music is in the air at the Mennonite Memorial Home in December.  Here are several options for your entertainment.

Bluffton University will host Community Day at a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader versus Rose-Hulman on Saturday, Dec. 8, in the new Sommer Center for Health and Fitness Education.

Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer provided a summary of the November weather.  Here goes:

The high temprature in November was 68 degrees on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11. The low was 23 degrees on Nov. 5, Nov 8, Nov. 13, Nov. 14 and Nov. 15. The average November 2012 temperature was 40 degrees. The normal average for November is 40.4 degrees.

The average precipitation for November 2012 was 0.90 inches. The normal average precipitation is 2.83 inches.  Pretty darn dry.

The Multiple Sclerosis group Friends Helping Friends will hold their next meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 12  at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall in Bluffton, 154 N. Main St.

This months program will be Pampered Chef with Jean.

Meetings are open to all and around Bluffton who have MS or are caregivers.

Annabelle M. Reese, age 90, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at 3:50 am at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born on March 2, 1922 in Hardin County, Ohio to Leslie and Hazel (Weber) Smith and they preceded her in death. On Oct. 20, 1940 she married Otas W. Reese and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2006.

Annabelle was a homemaker and she previously worked as a waitress for 25 years at Marriott Foods at Ohio Northern University, Ada. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church of Ada and a member of the United Methodist Women of the Church.
