There is way too much fun going on at the Suter Produce corn maze and cider press this month. Her is Abby Butte holding some popcorn on sale during Saturdays. Other photos show outdoor games and more pumpkins than you can count. Click here for the corn maze and cider press website, which shows hours, directions and options for family fun. The Village of Bluffton is moving ahead with two annexations requests, which would enlarge the village in Orange Township and Richland Township.
The two include:
• Property in Orange Township, owned by Josh Brown
• Property in Richland Township, owned by Bluffton University
Council passed separate emergency resolutions on the requests on Monday.
Both resolutions state the village intents to provide municipal services to the parcels. Municipal services include water, sewer, police protection, fire and other village services.
"Due to time constraints maintaining Maple Grove Cemetery the village will enforce the rules and regulations of the trustees of Maple Grove Cemetery and the Bluffton council," Bernadine Ludwig, cemetery sexton, told The Icon on Monday.
"All shepherd hooks must be removed. There will be no exceptions for these hooks to remain on stones, gravesites or foundations," she said.
If you would like assistance in the removal of the hooks contact Ludwig, at 419-358-9501, or the village office at 419-358-2066.
Icon viewers:
Some time ago, I was dismayed to learn that Jim Jordan is our congressman. His representation is sadly due to extreme gerrymandering in our county.
Jim Jordan's continued conduct in discrediting and undermining the independence of the Justice Department and the FBI is not only shameful, but frankly un-American. Jordan continues to push a "deep state" conspiracy to further divide this country.
