NCAA D3 rushing ranking

BLUFFTON, Ohio - A career day for Bluffton senior running back Eric Fox (Brunswick) has the standout Beaver at the top of the nation in rushing yards for NCAA Division 3 after a masterful performance in Salzman Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 6. Fox wowed the opening-day crowd with 221 yards on just 26 carries (8.5 yards per carry), two of which went for touchdowns.

Allen East defeated Bluffton High School 5-0 in girls' soccer in a game played at Bluffton on Sept. 8.

Dr. James M. Harder, president of Bluffton University, will present the annual President’s Forum at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, in Founders Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Harder will offer perspectives on the start of a new academic year—Bluffton’s 115th—and describe several institutional initiatives for the year.

"Hey, Chris! Who's ahead?" Christine Purves, long-time Bluffton University sports fan, has her own special seat at Beaver home footbal games this fall. It's in the "reserved" section and she even gets to sit in a car while watching the game. The Icon saw her on the sidelines of Saturday's home opener.

This year's Hancock County Junior Fair had a large contingency of Cory-Rawson students in royalty roles as many CRHS  students had the honor of being selected to represent the Junior Fair and various departments.  

Two Cory-Rawson 2014 graduates Aubry von Stein and Brent Warren were named Junior Fair Princess and King.

Bluffton Bucs midget football team will hold a bake sale on Saturday. The event is from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 13, in front of Chase bank on Main Street. The bake sale will also include several raffle items from local businesses.
