“Refuse To Be A Victim,” a nationally recognized crime prevention course to be held in Findlay on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
This course provides practical information geared toward awareness and avoidance of criminal attack.
The program of the National Rifle Association will be held from 5:30 – 9 p.m. in the Ruse Board room located on the second floor of the William E. Ruse building at Blanchard Valley Hospital, 1900 South Main St., Findlay.
The annual Bluffton High School alumni soccer games will be Saturday, Aug. 10.
Women play at 5 p.m. and men at 7 p.m. Games are played on Steinmetz Field on Harmon Road.
Margaret L. Herr, 95, died Aug. 1, 2013, at 2:25 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born Jan. 22, 1918, in Bluffton to the late Clarence and Esther (Slusser) Jones. On Nov. 1, 1939 she married William M. Herr and he survives.
Mrs. Herr was a homemaker, farm wife and had worked at Triplett Corp., Bluffton. She was a life long member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton. She had been a 4-H advisor. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School.
August worship services at Mennonite Memorial Home are scheduled.

Richland Manor celebrates Dog Days of Summer at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15. Everyone with a dog is invited to attend. Dogs will compete in different categories. The event will have games and other fun activities.
