Relatives who live in Bluffton: Our family has lived in Bluffton our whole lives. We grew up in the country about 3 and 1/2 miles from town on Zurflugh Road which is actually named after my great great grandfather, Abraham Zurflugh, who came to America from Canton Bern, Switzerland in 1852.
At our meeting on June 17, we talked about fair IDs. New members and members with their last names starting with A-H need to get their fair ID pictures taken. If you don’t get your fair ID you will have to pay to get into the fair.
English Lutheran Church is offering a new Bible study, "Who Do We Say That Jesus Is? --What Jesus means to us for our lives in the 21st Century."
"In this study we will look at how Jesus has been 'pictured' and understood in the media, in the Creeds of the Church, and in the New Testament writings, trying to discover what Jesus can mean for us living in the 21st century," said Rev. Kevin Mohr, pastor.
