Bluffton has a new place to eat for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Mustard Seed Café officially opens on Friday morning, March 22, in a one-time railroad depot at 560 N. Main St.

Dick and Jayne McGarrity own the restaurant, with Rhonda Moor as manager and cook.

In a conversation with the three, The Icon learned that Mustard Seed’s menu ranges from “mostly traditional fare to truly unique.”

“We have salads for breakfast, with hash browns, and sausage and eggs, for example,” said Moor. “We want to consider all tastes. There’s something here for everyone.”

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association has organized Good Friday activities for the Bluffton community.

On Good Friday, March 29, all are welcome to the annual Cross Walk. This year the walk begins at English Lutheran Church at 11:30 a.m. From there the walk proceeds to St. John's UCC, Bluffton Presbyterian, First Mennonite, First Methodist and ends at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Dennis Morrison of Bluffton, will give a presentation on “30 years of metal detecting,” during the noon, Tuesday, April 2, Bluffton Lions Club meeting. The meeting is in the Patio Room of Maple Crest.

Four Bluffton University senior art majors have shows in March. Lauren Faris and Amanda Huston's show run through March 22. Ezekiel Tracy and Becky Lutz's show runs from March 26 to April 7. Theses exhibits are in The Grace Albrecht Gallery of the Sauder Visual Arts Center.

Donald L. Crawfis, 83, of Ocala, Florida, and formerly of Rawson, Ohio, died at 1:20 p.m. March 18, 2013, at Legacy Hospice House, Ocala, Florida. He was born Feb. 27, 1930, in Leipsic, Ohio, to the late Bracy and Zella (Clapp) Crawfis. He married Carol Lippert and she survives in Ocala.

A Mom-to-Mom Sale is planned  Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Columbus Grove Road, Bluffton.

The sale will feature baby items, infant, children and maternity clothes along with other
items pertaining to children. Admission is $2 or two canned good items which, will be donated to the Bluffton Food Pantry.
