Sloppy play dominated the 1st half of play for Bluffton and Carey Friday night. Carey's triple option attack dominated the second.
Carey racked up a total of 298 yards on the ground compared to only 122 total yards for Bluffton leading Carey to a 26-0 win over the Pirates.
Bluffton's 1st drive started in Carey territory but would end after a dropped touchdown pass and a muffed snap on a field goal attempt. This would end up being the Pirates closest they would come to scoring on the night.

Here's a photo of the First Mennonite Church float at the Bluffton centennial (1961) parade. The float depicted two families - one a Bluffton pioneer family, portrayed by the Richard and Wanda Pannabecker family on the right, and, the second, by a modern family, portrayed by the Fred and Mary Amstutz family, on the left.
