A Main Street Bluffton Heritage Center may become a reality, thanks to a group of historical-minded persons working on the project.

The Bluffton Heritage Center Project is the topic of the 7:30 a.m., Friday, April 8, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast held in the third floor of the town hall. The breakfast is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required by Wednesday, April 6, to [email protected].

Bluffton council okayed a 2011street maintenance program on Monday that, when added together in one length, extends for more than one mile.

Depending upon the funds available, the following projects will take place this year:

Maple Crest retirement community will be busy in April. The Icon has posted the April calendar. It may be viewed by opening the attachment at the bottom of this story.

A local dog and cat rescue group, A Lotta Love Pet Rescue, is in the midst of its annual fund drive.

"All contributions are tax deductible in full," said David Baumgartner of Bluffton, who is member of the organization. A Lotta Love Pet rescue is a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt organization."
