The 2025 Bluffton Sportsmen’s Club Trout Derby may not have had good weather for sunbathing, but it was an excellent day for fishing. After rain in the a.m. on Sunday, May 4, the 2:00-4:00 p.m. Derby window was cloudy and cool.

A day in the life of a nurse is a remarkable blend of compassion, clinical expertise and constant motion. Nurses are often the first faces patients see when they arrive at a hospital or clinic and the last to offer comfort before discharge. MEDIA RELEASE__Each year, letter carriers across the country head out on their routes on the second Saturday in May (May 10 this year) to collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit local food pantries. Since launching in 1993, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive, helping to fill the shelves of food banks in cities and towns throughout the United States.
