Bath defeated Bluffton girls' in soccer 8-0 on Sept. 8. Bath dominated the game by producing numerous shots on goal. Bluffton could not penetrate to get the offense going.

The Bluffton University football team traveled to Berea on Saturday, Sept. 8, to take on the 17th ranked Baldwin-Wallace Yellow Jackets in a non-conference matchup. The Beavers (1-1) struggled against a Yellow Jacket team that finished 8-2 a year ago, falling to the hosts 45-13 in Balwin-Wallace’s season opener.

Work continues on the Sommer Center at Bluffton University this month as cement is poured for the steps leading into the new structure.

The Grove, Jackson and Lawn Avenue water main replacement project is underway and, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, “Progressing well.”

In Monday’s Bluffton council packet Mehaffie writes that “as of a conversation on Friday the contractor was hoping to make it to Main Street by the end of the day. Their plan is to begin the section of South Jackson Street between Grove and Kibler this coming week.”
