The Morning Star cider press will open on Wednesday, Sept. 17. The cider press is one of the oldest-continually operating businesses in the Bluffton-Pandora community.
Then on Saturday, Sept. 20, the Suter Produce corn maze, at the cider press, will open and attempt to get people lost in a field of corn. The maze is an annual Suter Produce tradition since 1999.

Grob Systems of Bluffton invites the community to an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20.
The open house enables the community to learn more about Grob's products and workplace. The plant is at 1070 Navajo Drive, on the east side of Interstate 75.
It’s the 29th anniversary Ada Area Chamber of Commerce Harvest and Herb Festival. Over 175 booths with offer their products, stretching from Quest Federal Credit Union on the north to the Disciples of Christ Church on the south.

Apollo Career Center's Garden Cafe will open for business Tuesday, September 23, and will serve lunch from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The all-you-can-eat buffet is $6 and includes a salad and hot bar with an assortment of desserts, and choice of beverage. Transport For Christ has installed a second mobile chapel in Beaverdam, with this one located at the Flying J Travel Plaza, I-75 and 30N. The first mobile chapel is across the road at the Pilot Travel Center.
The public is invited to attend a dedication of the new Second Chance Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5. Personnel from the international TFC office in Marietta, Pa., will attend, as will several musical groups. Light refreshments will be served.
The Case of the Missing Honey Bees” will be Dr. W. Todd Rainey’s focus in a Bluffton University colloquium at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
A mathematics educator from John Carroll University will address connections between the Common Core State Standards for math and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education on Sept. 23 at Bluffton University.
Speaking in a Bluffton forum at 11 a.m. in Founders Hall, Linda Gojak will discuss how she believes the standards can improve math education from kindergarten through college, as well as STEM education in general. Her presentation is free and open to the public.
