Bluffton University would like to announce and invite the community to the 2016 Riley Creek Festival!
This year's festival will be held this Saturday, April 16, in the Sommer Center on Bluffton University's campus.
The festival will take place from 11am-4pm, concluding with the famous duck race at 4pm on Little Riley Creek. Music, games, and inflatables guarantee a good time for all ages in the community.
DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Bluffton University baseball team took advantage of three Yellow Jacket errors and four unearned runs as the Beavers downed rival Defiance College 6-4 on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. It marked the third straight win for Bluffton which stands 9-16 overall and 4-8 in the Heartland Conference. Defiance slipped to 13-11 on the season and 6-6 in HCAC action.
You don’t have to be a bicycle rider to enjoy this year’s Ride to Remember bike ride taking place in Bluffton on Saturday, July 16.
Several events in the BFR-Community Swimming Pool area are open to the public.

“We are trying to expand the Ride to Remember to involve as much of the community as we can,” said Dick Ramseyer of the Bluffton Lions Club Foundation, who is the event’s main sponsor.
Bluffton University will host its annual Academic Awards Forum at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Students to be honored include graduating seniors in the Honors Program, C. Henry Smith Scholars and Pi Delta inductees, as well as departmental award recipients, who are recognized as distinguished senior scholars. In addition, several seniors will present on their departmental honors projects.
The Pat Wagner Memorial Scholarship Fund was established with proceeds from the Pat Wagner Memorial 5K, organized by Pat’s students, friends and family. This fund will help high school seniors from Arlington or Liberty-Benton High School pursue a college education.
When you think of Main Street Bluffton in the spring and summer do petunias come to mind? While it’s mid-April, it’s time to stop what you are doing and think about smelling the flowers.
According to Susie and Steve Stratton of Stratton Greenhouses, “This will be the 10th year for providing the potted plants on Main Street.”
To make this happen, according to the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, Steve and Susie are asking for contributions to keep the program going. This year the sponsorships are $125 per pot.
Ebenezer Mennonite Church children’s choir, Disciple Singers, will present
a spring musical called “The Agape League” on Sunday, April 24,
at 10:15 a.m. in the Crossroads Ministry Center.
The church is located at 8905 Columbus Grove Rd, Bluffton. Everyone is
welcome.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University’s D'Nae Reese (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) took down a pair of Bluffton University records and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week following her great performances at the Marv Frye Invitational on Sunday, April 10.
It was Bluffton middle school’s “Night at the Museum.” Except it was a living museum.
The cross-cultural project with Language Arts and Social Studies involved 260 sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Over 900 persons visited the museum during its one-night event on April 5.
Each student developed a project board for display.
• Sixth grade projects focused on countries of the world.
• Seventh grade projects focused on famous people.
• Eighth grade projects focused on careers of their choice.
