Talking with Della Salter is like getting a card from an old friend, or eating an ice cream sundae. It just makes you feel good!
If there is a word to describe this Mennonite Memorial Home villa resident, it’s “positive.”
“I’m positive because I’ve had a very positive life,” she emphasized. Salter has lived in her two-bedroom villa on Pinebrook Drive, Bluffton, for more than 30 years. She was the second person to move in after her villa was built.

The teacher is Jill Zimmerly. That's all we know about this Leland Gerber elementary class photo, except for a couple familiar faces that we're trying to put names with. Anyone with more names for this class are encouraged to contact the Icon at: [email protected].
And, thanks to Jim Diller and his sister in California, we've added some names to the photo posted last week. Click here for that update.
The Icon spotted this plate in Janauary and we've held it since then. It has a Marion, Ohio, license plate frame and you'll find this on a red Chevy Cobalt LT. We'd appreciate anyone who has an idea of its meaning to let us know.
