How to talk to a 1,300-pound steer
That's Bob Flick, Larry (a 1,300-pound Maine Anjou market steer), and Jason Althaus, steer owner, at a Bluffton Cattle Club 4-H show at Mennonite Memorial Home. Several members of the club shows their animals with MMH residents. Jason, a Bluffton High School senior, says he has two more steers at home. This one is 15 months old and Jason wants to get it to 1,400 pounds before the August Allen County Fair. Click here for more photos of the show.
