MEDIA RELEASE__On Wednesday, March 18, a special midweek Lent service will begin at 7:00  p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera.

Pastor Kurtis Freimuth of Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, will be the guest pastor. His sermon, based on Zechariah 8:14-17 is titled "The Truth, the Whole Truth, and Nothing but the Truth."

Hymns are: "Jesus, Refuge of the Weary, He Stood Before the Court and All Praise to Thee, My God This Night."

MEDIA RELEASE__A Spring Fling Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  at Serenity Spring Senior Living, 200 Powell Drive, Arlington, OH.

Admission is free.

MEDIA RELEASE__SumiRiko Ohio, Inc., 320 Snider Rd., will host an Easter Egg Hunt community event on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Families are encouraged to pre-register to help the planners. 10:30 a.m. - Ages 0-3  ◾️ 10:45 a.m. - Ages 4-6 ◾️ 11:00 a.m. - Ages 7-10 ◾️ 11:15 a.m. - Ages 11-17.  If the weather doesn't cooperate, the event will move to April 18.

At its March 9 regular meeting, the Village of Bluffton Council advanced budget allocations and employee salary and wage increases for 2026.

Reporting for the Personnel Committee, council member Phill Talavinia presented a 4% increase for full and part-time employees. Also reporting for the Finance Committee, he noted that 2026 budget allocation legislation will need to pass by emergency at the next meeting (March 23).
