Are you viewing the Bluffton Icon from far away? The first snow of Fall 2025 came before many leaves had fallen, on Monday, November 10. A heavy white coating was on almost everything but the roads, where it melted more quickly. Here's a view of snow on the trails in Motter Park, 10740 Columbus Grove-Bluffton Rd, Bluffton, OH 45817. In the distance you can see that sunny skies are soon to follow.

Cory-Rawson High School has announced the following Honor Roll for the first quarter of the 2025-2026 academic year for grades 7-12.

John R Koontz, 83, passed away November 8, 2025 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. John was born April 10, 1942 in Bluffton to the late Rolland and Mary "Mildred" (Krautter) Koontz who preceded him in death. On August 22, 1970 he married Sue Crawford Koontz who survives.

MEDIA RELEASE__On Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, members of American Legion Post 382 will be visiting Mennonite Memorial Home at 1:30 p.m.; Maple Crest at 3:30 p.m.; and Willow Ridge at 4:00 p.m.  

All local veterans and their spouses are encouraged to attend.

FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__The Bluffton Senior Citizens Center is joining a local campaign with the local Youth for Christ called "We Believe in Youth." We will have cards for our senior citizens to write individual cards of encouragement for the teens to lift them up.

During "We Believe in Youth" week, November 13-21, look for signs in storefronts and yards and T-shirts. Teens will be joining us for the Community Meal on November 20. After the meal, the teens will be leading a time of praise and worship at the Senior Center.

Performances of "After the Blast" will take place at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 13-15, and at 2:30 p.m., Nov.16, in College Hall, Ramseyer Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens, Bluffton faculty and staff and non-Bluffton students. Bluffton University students can enjoy the play for free. Tickets can be purchased or reserved at www.bluffton.edu/tickets.
