FROM FACEBOOK__A Holiday Open House event is taking place at many of Bluffton's downtown merchant locations on Friday and Saturday, November 7-8.

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce suggests, "Whether you're shopping for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or looking to snag some deals for next Halloween, you're sure to find just what you need!

"Be sure to follow the downtown merchants' social media pages to see the fun activities they have planned!"

On November 4 a strong majority of Allen County voters supported tax levy renewals for Childrens Services and Senior Citizens Services. The renewal includes funding for "providing or maintaining" Senior Citizens Association Inc. of Bluffton. The taxes are $10 annually for each $100K of appraised property value for Childrens Services and $21 annually for each $100K of appraised property value for Senior Citizens Services.

Is Bluffton a destination location? Ryan and Jessica Meyer think so. 

The couple bought the True Word Tabernacle church, located at 104 E. Elm Street behind Town Hall, back in February 2023 with the vision of providing unique short- and long-term housing for Bluffton.

Back in 2021, the Meyers opened up a short-term vacation rental in rural Bluffton and were surprised at the immediate demand for the rental. Guests constantly noted there were few if any places to stay in the immediate area, unless you drove to Lima or Findlay. 

FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__On November 6, the First Mennonite Church will be serving the Community Meal at the Bluffton Senior Center. 

The meal begins at 6 p.m. at 132 N. Main St., Bluffton.

Emmanuel United Church of Christ will be serving the Community Meal on November 20 followed by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Assoc. Thanksgiving Program. Students from Campus Life will also be attending.

 

Bluffton Elementary School has announced the following 1st Nine Weeks Honor Roll for the 2025-2026 school year.
