Southgate Lanes, 9700 N Dixie Hwy., is signing up bowlers for the first of 15 consecutive tournaments sponsored by Storm, a bowling balls, shoes, and clothing company. The 2:00 p.m., December 4 event is a Singles 9-pin No Tap tournament.

The entry fee is $30 (pre-registration $5). A $240 first place place prize plus any Storm ball of choice is guaranteed. Lane conditions: house oil pattern. Call 419-358-6966 or message Southgate Lanes Inc. on Facebook to sign up. The full schedule will be available at 1:00 p.m. on December 4.

On November 11, 2021, Bluffton veterans visited the Bluffton schools to provide several Veterans’ Day programs. High schoolers, 4th grade students and kindergarteners learned about the service of local veterans, the history of Veterans’ Day and honoring the American flag.

Recently, I learned about the public defender system in my government class. This article is inspired by what we learned and our discussion.

What are public defenders?

On Saturday, Nov. 6, the Bluffton High School Academic team won the 2021-2022 Northwest Conference Scholastic Bowl Competition with a 6-1 record. See the adjacent story for details.

Six Bluffton High School students had a nearly perfect day at the  2021-2022 Northwest Conference Scholastic Bowl Competitionat at Allen East High School on Saturday, November 6. The team won six out of seven matches.
