Robert "Bob" G. Badertscher, 86, passed away March 2, 2025, surrounded by his family, at the Mennonite Memorial Home. 

Bob was born August 5, 1938 in Bluffton to Edwin and Mae (Murray) Badertscher who preceded him in death. On April 8, 1961, he married Ann (Zimmerly) Badertscher who preceded him in death on October 31, 2018. 

He was a 1956 graduate of Bluffton High School and was the owner and operator of Badertscher Milk Hauling. He enjoyed cheering for the University of Michigan, the Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Tigers. 

Eric Kurtz, executive director, Mennonite Central Committee Great Lakes, will provide the Forum, “Seeking Peace in Challenging Times: Lessons for Today from Mennonite Central Committee’s History,” at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, in Yoder Recital Hall.

During the presentation, Mennonite Central Committee’s regional director will explore how Anabaptist put faith into action through storytelling from the organization’s beginnings in Ukraine to its 75-year presence in Israel/Palestine to work in 45 countries at present.
