In recent years, robotic-assisted surgery has emerged as a powerful tool in treating various gynecologic conditions, offering patients and physicians a new level of precision, flexibility and confidence in surgical outcomes. With technological advancements and increasing expertise among surgeons, robotic surgery has redefined how complex gynecologic procedures are performed and how patients recover from them.
The October 10 breakfast meeting of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce provided the following information on local businesses and upcoming chamber events.
CHAMBER LEADERSHIP TRANSITION
Director Jim Enneking announced that he will retire at the end of the year, with current assistant director Rene Gabriel stepping into his role. A new assistant will be hired.
NEW MEMBER
Enneking introduced new member Rachel Miller, a professional photographer under the business name Rachel Miller Creative.
OCT 10 MEDIA RELEASE__Dr. Alex Sider, president and professor of religion at Bluffton University, will present the Colloquium, "Following Jesus When Things Fall Apart," at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, in Centennial Hall's Stutzman Lecture Hall.
Sider will reflect on the role of Christian faith during times of institutional and personal change, drawing from theological perspectives that offer guidance, hope and ethical clarity in the face of disruption.
OCT 16 MEDIA RELEASE__Tina Snyder of Bluffton presented a program on Native Americans who both fought for and against our patriots during the Revolutionary War. She spoke of their sacrifices and honored them for their many accomplishments.
The Fort Findlay chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution was presented with a National Native American Recognition Month Proclamation from the Board of Hancock County Commissioners.
OTTAWA__The Bluffton High School volleyball team eliminated Elmwood in straight sets in the Div. V Northwest sectional finals at Ottawa on Thursday, October 16.
The Pirates improved to 16-7 with the 25-17, 25-17, 29-27 tournament win.
Elmwood fell to 7-15 to end their season after the loss.
Kendall Stackhouse led the victors with 14 kills. Taylin Goldman knocked down nine kills, while Karlie Lora drilled eight kills.
Adelyn Althaus passed out 21 assists, while Camryn Fruchey doled out 14 helpers.
