46 sales across the Village of Bluffton; coordinated with Festival of Wheels and America 250 Drone Show

MEDIA RELEASE__Bargain hunters, treasure seekers and visitors alike are invited to experience the Bluffton Community Garage Sales, taking place June 18-20 throughout Bluffton. List of sales.

This year's event features 46 registered garage sales, offering shoppers three days to explore neighborhoods, discover unique finds, and uncover hidden treasures at locations throughout the community. From antiques and collectibles to household items, children's toys, clothing, and more, the Bluffton Community Garage Sales provide something for every shopper.

A section of W. Elm St. is now open and improved with curb replacements and the addition of a tree lawn. Reporting to the council on the project, Assistant Village Administrator Bryan Lloyd said that the Village will now coordinate property owners' payments, which may be made now or over 10 years.

Preventing injuries to children riding in cars was on the agenda of Police Chief Ryan Burkholder at the June 8 meeting of the Village of Bluffton council. Burkholder shared a Safe Kids Worldwide brochure in the council packet and reminded listeners of the importance of buying and installing the right car seat for children.

FROM BSC HAPPENINGS__Beginning in June, the Bluffton Senior Center's community meals normally held on the first and third Thursday, will turn to its summer schedule of only hosting one meal per month. The June meal will be held on Thursday, June 18, at 6:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. A goodwill offering is taken to help the local food pantry.

 

Ronald Harold Weiss, 69, passed away June 9, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.

Ronald was born July 26, 1956, in Cleveland, OH, to Ronald and Nancy (Heimann) Weiss, who preceded him in death.

Ron served 20 years in the United States Air Force, working in Secure Communication Maintenance and was a member of the Bluffton American Legion. Ron was an avid animal lover, especially dogs.
