LIMA__The Bluffton High School wrestling team fared well in the rugged Lima Central Catholic Thunderbird Invitational tournament on Friday and Saturday, January 30-31.

A total of 43 schools competed in the Monsignor Herr Gymnasium at one of the best annual Div. III wrestling events in Ohio, with Bluffton finishing a solid 14th.

FINDLAY __The visiting Bluffton High School boys basketball team knocked off non-conference rival Liberty-Benton 45-42 on Saturday, January 31.

A big second-period turnaround led to the Pirate road victory. 

The Pirates trailed 18-13 after a high-scoring opening period. Three Eagles scored five points apiece as they hit three early triples.

But Bluffton limited L-B to just two points in the second stanza on one basket to seize a 23-20 lead at halftime.

MEDIA RELEASE__Cory-Rawson High School has announced the following Honor Roll for the second nine weeks of the 2025-26 academic year. The list includes students in grades 7-12.

BLUFFTON __The Bluffton High School boys basketball team was victimized by a big third period as they lost 65-31 to visiting Northwest Conference foe Spencerville on Friday, January 30.

The Pirates trailed 15-10 after the opening period. An 18-11 Bearcat second stanza gave the visitors a 33-21 lead at halftime.

Spencerville then blitzed Bluffton with a 23-5 third quarter as Will Sensabaugh pumped in eight points on two treys and a breakaway stuff.

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School bowling teams lost to tough visiting Liberty-Benton in a dual match at Southgate Lanes to end the regular season on Senior Night Friday, January 30.

The Pirate boys fell by a very high score of 3,068 pins to 3,004. The Eagle margin of victory was just 64 pins despite a Pirate record high total for a match.

In the girls match, the Pirates lost to a good Eagles squad by a 2,420-1,413 pin count.
