Market manager Greg Probst introduces the 2026 Bluffton Farmers Market, a program of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce. The market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m.-noon, May-October at the Citizens National Bank parking lot, 102 S. Main.

Bluffton, Ohio letter carriers, as part of the USA National Association of Letter Carriers, are participating in the Stamp Out Hunger food drive on Saturday, May 9.

MEDIA RELEASE__This year’s Stamp Out Hunger, the largest single-day food drive in the nation, takes place on Saturday, May 9.

Customers are being asked to leave bags of nutritious, nonperishable food next to their mailboxes to be collected by USPS employees. The donations are then distributed to local food banks and pantries.

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School softball team lost 10-4 to visiting Columbus Grove in a Northwest Conference battle on Thursday, May 7.

The Bulldogs led 3-1 after an eventful first inning. CG then scored two runs in the second inning. 

The Pirates tallied single runs in the third and fourth frames, but Grove plated four big runs in the fourth to lead 9-3.

Both teams added one run in the seventh inning.

Each team rapped out 13 hits. Bluffton made three errors which led to two unearned runs.

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School baseball team lost 11-1 to visiting Columbus Grove in a Northwest Conference game at Village Park on Thursday, May 7.

The Bulldogs jumped 5-0 after the top of the first inning and never trailed. Both teams scored a run in the third frame.

CG then scored three runs in the fourth inning to surge ahead, 9-1. Grove plated two more runs in the sixth to lead 11-1 and enact the 10-run mercy rule

Grove out-hit Bluffton 7-5, and each team committed one error.
