The Bluffton Community Preschool invites future preschoolers and their families to an open house on Feb. 28 from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Classes are available for children that will be between the ages of 3 and 5 by Aug. 1. 

Families can tour the facilities, learn about the curriculum and explore all the Community Preschool has to offer.  

Vocalist, Sandra Agans Krueger, will present a program featuring art songs and arias in a compelling story of love at 2 p.m. on Sunday,  Feb. 17, in the First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary, 2330 South Main St., Findlay. 

The performance, part of the 33rd Season of the First Presbyterian Church Artist Series, is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be received.

Mezzo soprano  Krueger is a recent addition to Findlay, and has quickly been embraced by the musical community.

The Emmanuel United Church of Christ,  8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton, will hold a fish fry in March. The event is from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 8, at the church.

Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for youth 11 and under. The fish fry offers all the fish you can eat, plus potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert.

 

 

Jim and Ursula Alt will observe their wedding anniversary this month. The couple was married Feb. 16, 1957, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton.

Their children and spouses are Kathy and Chuck Sehlhorst, Beth and Jim Yarger, Jeff and Deb Alt, Jerry and Sheila Alt, Joe and Tina Alt, and Jenny and Jason Swartzlander. The Alts have 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Several Bluffton council committee meetings were scheduled at the Feb. 11 council meeting. All meetings are in the town hall. Those meet dates follow:

Feb. 20 - Street and alleys, 5 p.m.
Feb. 21 - Ordinance committee, 4 p.m.
Feb. 21 - Village Planning Commission, 7 p.m.
Feb. 25 - Park and recreation committee, 7 p.m.
