FROM BSC HAPPENINGS__Beginning in June, the Bluffton Senior Center's community meals normally held on the first and third Thursday, will turn to its summer schedule of only hosting one meal per month. The June meal will be held on Thursday, June 18, at 6:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. A goodwill offering is taken to help the local food pantry.
Ronald Harold Weiss, 69, passed away June 9, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.
Ronald was born July 26, 1956, in Cleveland, OH, to Ronald and Nancy (Heimann) Weiss, who preceded him in death.
Ron served 20 years in the United States Air Force, working in Secure Communication Maintenance and was a member of the Bluffton American Legion. Ron was an avid animal lover, especially dogs.

The Monday, June 8 regular meeting of the Village of Bluffton council was chaired by Mayor Rich Johnson with all members present. Among the issues discussed were a new downtown sidewalk safety zone, detour changes at the SR 103 roundabout at Navajo Dr., and plans for August 4 National Night Out celebrations. The following students from the 45817 area code have been recognized on the Ohio Northern University Dean's List for Spring 2026. A student who attains a 3.50 or better average on 12 or more graded hours (A, B, C, D, F) for a term is placed on the Dean's list. Special, transient, or post-graduate students are not included.
BLUFFTON __The Bluffton Sardines youth swim team dove into its summer season with a convincing win over visiting West Ohio Aquatic League rival Ada at the Community Pool on Monday evening, June 8.
Defending WOAL champion Bluffton captured the combined dual meet by a dominating score of 843-295. The Sardines won the girls meet decisively 448-113, and the hosts also won the boys meet handily, 395-182.
