BLUFFTON__Tournament host Bluffton finished second in the Northwest Conference bowling tournament at Southgate Lanes on Friday night, February 6.

Pirates Elana Navarro, Charlotte Kidd, Emmit Kidd and Elijah Nye finished on the all-tournament team by posting top-five finishes.

BOYS RESULTS
The Pirate boys were first in the four-team league tournament after the first two qualifying rounds with 3,165 total pins. 

Bowlus named boys MVP

MARGARETTA__The Bluffton High School swim teams competed well in the Polar Bear Winter Classic Invitational Saturday, February 7 at Margaretta.

The Pirate boys and girls teams each finished third in the PBWC Margaretta Invite.

Bluffton senior Jackson Bowlus was named the boys meet MVP. He touched first in the 50-yard butterfly and in the 25 freestyle sprint races. He also anchored the winning 200 free relay.

Kaufman wins 120 crown

COLDWATER__The Bluffton High School wrestling team fared well in the rugged Coldwater Cavalier Invitational tournament on Saturday, February 7

A total of 31 schools competed in the event, with Bluffton finishing a solid ninth with 111 points.

Troy captured the team title with 225 points, well ahead of second-place Northmont (194.5).

COLUMBUS GROVE - The visiting Bluffton High School boys basketball team lost a seesaw 56-48 Northwest Conference battle to rival Columbus Grove on Friday, February 6.

Grove jumped ahead 17-6 after the opening period as Brady Basinger scored eight points and Trevon Baxter added seven.  

Bluffton turned the tables with a 12-5 second quarter behind 10 Brody Donley points to slice the CG lead to 22-18 at halftime.

Grove responded with a 15-12 third period to surge ahead 37-30 heading into the fourth period.
