BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University wide receiver Jack Tomlinson (Westerville/South) led the Beavers to a convincing 44-23 win over rival Defiance Saturday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Player of the Week on offense. It marked the fourth time this season that Bluffton football had an athlete named Player of the Week, following Brad Swavel (Marion/Ridgedale), Miguel Alicia (Westerville/South) and Jordan Watkins (Reynoldburg).

Sarah Baumgartner explains workings of Rockettech, an entrepreneurial tech club at Pandora-Gilboa High School. The club, lead by Mark Suter, advisor, made a presentation during the Friday Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast. The club will host a community tech conference from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the P-G school. 

The Village of Bluffton is preparing for winter. Here's a portion of the report Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, will give to Bluffton council on Monday. The entire council agenda is in an attachment at th bottom of this story.

Farm Leases
The advertisements for the two farm leases have been published  the last two weeks and we will be accepting those sealed bids until Friday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. At that time, the sealed bids will be opened and read aloud.

The Beavers went into the 2014 finale looking for a fifth straight win against their arch rival from up north, the Defiance College Yellow Jackets. Bluffton’s Senior Day marked a bittersweet end for the 20 seniors as they handed the Yellow Jackets their fifth consecutive loss in the rivalry matchup.
