For four days in March, the Global Communication Club at Bluffton High School hosted 10 students and 2 English teachers from Ogawa High School in Japan. 

The Japanese students stayed with local host families, attended classes at Bluffton High School and participated in a variety of cultural and community activities. They also visited with employees at SumiRiko Ohio, a supplier of anti-vibration products to the auto industry, which is headquartered in Japan.

FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__On Thursday, April 23 at 2 p.m., Dan Groman from the Bluffton Ohio Historical Society, will host a meeting about Bluffton's "museum in the making."

Several exhibits are in the works: John Dillinger gang robbery in Bluffton, Dr. Boyd Travis model trains, interurban railways and the Dixie Highway through Bluffton.

This program is free and open to the public.

SCAVENGER HUNT TRIP
June 3 Departs 6:45 a.m. Come visit the American Sign Museum and Jungle Jim’s International Market. We will have a guided tour of both AND have a scavenger hunt. In between we will have a yummy lunch at Tickle Pickle. Cost is $125 due at sign up. Level 3 lots of walking. Last day May 1.

On Thursday, April 16, Emmanuel UCC will be serving a 6 p.m. Community Meal at the Bluffton Senior Center, 132 N. Main St.

The meal is free and open to the public. A goodwill offering will be taken to help the local food pantry.
