The past two years have been extremely difficult for most of us. First responders, healthcare workers and mental health professionals have been affected greatly, some in similar ways as the general population, yet, for some, more impacted. We are seeing significant compassion fatigue in these fields.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released the identities of the three  suspects arrested following an incident that killed a Bluffton Police Department officer.  The names, ages, and locations where the suspects are incarcerated are as follows: Emin Johnson, 20, incarcerated at the Hancock County Justice Center; Zachary Love, 21, incarcerated at the Hancock County Justice Center; Dante Tate, 19, incarcerated at the  Medina County Jail.

This letter serves as a Legal Notice of a Public Hearing before the Village of Bluffton Planning Commission on Monday, April 11 at 5:30 pm on the third floor of the Town Hall.  This hearing will involve the following matters:

Rolland "Rolly" Dodge, 93, passed away March 31, 2022, at 6:30 a.m., Bridge Hospice Care Center.

Rolly was born December 27, 1928 in Ada, to Elza and Marjorie (McBride) Dodge who preceded him in death. On November 4, 1951 he married Mary Alice (High) Dodge who preceded him in death on April 28, 2017.

Rolly was a life-time member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Lima Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Lima VFW and the Bluffton American Legion. He retired from the United Telephone Company after 35 years of dedication. 

New and returning vendors are invited to a Bluffton Farmers Market organizational meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5 at Bluffton Town Hall, 3rd floor.

Effective, March 31, 2022, Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is adjusting its visitation guidelines, based on the observed reduction of COVID-19 cases in the community, which will lessen the restrictions on visitors coming into the organization.
