February just happens to be Library lovers month. The Bluffton Public Library today released its February calendar.

Several events of interest are planned. To view the calendar click here.

A discussion of Greg Mortenson's book "Stones into Schools" will take place in the family room of Maple Crest Senior Living Village on Monday, Feb. 28, at 2:30 p.m.

Copies of the book are available at Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St., Bluffton. Maple Crest Senior Living Village is located at 700 Maple Crest Ct., Bluffton.

Rick Fricke was elected president of the Pandora council on its Jan. 11 reorganization meeting. In other action, council approved the first quarter temporary appropriations for $157,900.

Jean Ann Therese Lautzenheiser

Jean Ann Therese Lautzenheiser, 45, of Round Rock, Texas, died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011. She was born on April 22, 1965, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She was selected as Teacher of the Year in 2009 at Backland Prairie Elementary School in Round Rock.

She sang in several local choirs, including the Round Rock Community Choir and the choirs of First United Methodist Church in Round Rock. She also performed in Carnegie Hall and the National Cathedral.

Two community meals are planned in February by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association.

The first is at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3, hosted by First Mennonite Church. The second is at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, hosted by Bluffton Presbyterian.

The meals are open to the public with no admission charge. Donations accepted go to the Bluffton Community Assistance Program's food bank.
