St. John’s United Church of Christ, 223 W. College Ave., Bluffton, will celebrate its 145th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 16, according to Rev. Carol Clements, pastor.
The celebration begins with a 10:30 a.m. worship service. The Northwest Ohio Association Minister, Rev. Dan Busch, will be the speaker. Special musical selections provided by the choir and instrumentalists will enhance the celebration.

Yes, life is good, again. Especially because the County Line Road – Interstate 75 overpass is open to traffic. The 30-day fix up started in early August, forcing drivers to find new ways across the interestate from the county line. The bridge opened earler today.
Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) Gift Shop, Findlay, will host “Flamingo Designer Purse Bingo,” a bingo event with designer purses as prizes, including purses from brands such as Michael Kors and Kate Spade.
This event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, in the Marathon Auditorium of BVH, located at 1900 S. Main St., Findlay. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the first bingo call will take place at 7 p.m. Attendees can enjoy bingo, silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle and additional raffles. Light snacks will be provided.
